Designing scalable translation services for census workers

Developed while at Tarjimly, this project is a collaboration with the United States Census Bureau to develop scalable translation services through an iOS app. I interviewed Census contractors and workers to understand their needs, such as legal requirements and scalability on the ground. Attending to the unique needs of census workers, we developed interfaces and prototypes that integrate seamlessly with the Tarjimly mobile experience. This project also extends on my previous work at the Stanford Legal Lab to develop translation services at local courts.
